The Project Manager – HazMat is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate experienced candidate to progress and grow in the remediation and environmental industry. With current and future projects developing nationally there are many avenues for this role to move and grow into. Currently this Project Manager will be based in Edmonton and the role itself will have a combination of various responsibilities including; business development, estimating, timeline management and over all project delivery.
Our client is a leader in the environmental and industrial sector focused in remediation, reclamation and decommission services. With a national reach our client has projects throughout Canada and are specialized in these sectors with long-term clients and a great reputation throughout the country.
This Project Manager will have the following aspects;
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or Construction.
- PMP, P.Eng or Gold Seal certified and asset.
- 7+ years’ experience directly related to hazmat, asbestos and hazardous waste material project management in an industrial environment.
- Excellent experience managing contracts, estimations, budgets and quotes.
- Strong experience in business development and identifying future opportunities within the industry.
- Management experience of health and safety and environmental legislation and guidelines in relation to hazardous material abatement.
- Knowledge of HazMat analyses and the ability to prepare quotes, estimates and evaluate demolition solutions.
- Experience in managing field staff and contractors throughout various project phases.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Professional presentation and communication skills.
